In a loader, grease plays a crucial role in many friction pairs. Failure to replenish grease in a timely manner can lead to surface wear, increased temperatures, and energy losses. To address this issue, employing a centralized lubrication system is an effective way. It utilizes appropriate pump pressure to deliver grease to various lubrication points on time and in the correct amount.
Centralized lubrication systems have a significant impact in practical operations, reducing downtime of mechanical equipment and mitigating associated losses. According to statistics, centralized lubrication systems can reduce bearing failure rates by over 40%. Additionally, they save on maintenance and parts costs, significantly enhance operational efficiency, reduce manual labor intensity, thereby extending the lifespan and performance of vehicles.
Progressive Centralized Lubrication Installation Case
A complete centralized lubrication system typically includes lubrication pumps and grease distributor, controllers (optional), and pipeline accessories. Let's take a loader as an example to illustrate this system. This lubrication system adopts a progressive design and is equipped with GT-PLUS series lubrication pumps, each having two pump heads. It also incorporates either DSP progressive distributors or VB progressive distributors. High-pressure resin hoses with a diameter of φ8.6X4 are used for the main pipeline to the lubrication points.
The working principle of a progressive lubrication system is to operate according to preset programs. When the countdown ends, the lubrication pump starts, and both pump heads begin working simultaneously, delivering pressured grease from the pump through the main lubrication pipeline to various distributors, which then sequentially distribute the grease to respective lubrication points. When the operating time reaches the set value, the lubrication pump stops working, the oil supply process ends, and it enters the next working cycle.
The range of grease applicable to this system is from NLGI000# to NLGI2#. For summer, NLGI 1# extreme pressure lithium-based grease is recommended, while NLGI 0# extreme pressure lithium-based grease is suggested for winter. In temperatures below -20°C, low-temperature oil must be used.
